Meet the Innkeepers
Providing memorable getaways at a country inn has been a long-time vision of co-innkeepers Leroy Lewis and Rick Danielson. The pair relocated from Colorado in 2017 to fulfill their dream of operating a bed and breakfast inn. They long considered an early retirement career as innkeepers, visiting more than fifty bed and breakfasts over a span of ten years. Both have retired from long careers in public service, Leroy as a teacher and Rick as a minister. They are natives of Western New York and have enjoyed the scenery and wine culture of the Finger Lakes for many years. Rick and Leroy were wed on Seneca Lake before life took them west to Colorado. While they miss the majestic mountains, they are thrilled to be back in a region that is so meaningful to them. For Leroy and Rick, providing hospitality and a place of peace, relaxation, and fun for guests is a huge privilege. They look forward to meeting you!
Greenwoods Bed & Breakfast Inn was built by the Green family (“Green”woods, get it?) in 1990. It was designed to function as a bed and breakfast inn once the family’s children were grown. Mike and Lisa Ligon purchased the inn in 1999 and further developed the property and business for eighteen years. Leroy Lewis and Rick Danielson arrived in late 2017 and spent their first winter in Honeoye renovating and redecorating the inn. They are proud to be a part of a legacy of outstanding hospitality that has continued for nearly a quarter century.
